Spatial Pattern Analysis of Physical Environmental Aspects on the Existence of Larvae of Aedes Sp. In Makassar city, Indonesia
Abstract
Daya Health Center at Makassar City assessed the dengue cases and land as many as 26 cases, where of the 217 houses examined during, 49 houses were positive for presenting Aedes larvae. The purpose of this study aims to analyze the spatial pattern of physical environmental aspects of the existence of Aedes, in the area. This research method is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional design using the proportionate random stratified sampling technique. The research sample was 110 houses consisting of RT 1: 44, RT 2: 30, RT 3: 16, and RT 4: 20 houses. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel for dummy tables and ArcGIS software for spatial pattern analysis and map creation. The results of this study indicate the number of containers as many as 650. Larval examination found 2 containers positive (0.2%) and 648 containers negative (99.8%). House examination found 2 positive larvae (2%), House negative 108 (98%). Type of container 2 positive larvae in the landfill bucket (0.2%) and iron each 1 positive (100%), the location of the container outside the house 2 positive (0.5%), the condition of the open container only 2 positive (0.5%), the color of the container 2 dark positive (0.6%). The conclusion of this finding can be useful as information to the public to know spatial analysis through color information on the location points of the presence of larvae that are categorized as positive and negative Aedes sp., in the Daya Health Center work area.
