The digital transformation of value systems in the society of knowledge

Sep 2026 · KANT · 0 citations

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the digital transformation of value systems as an independent social-philosophical process unfolding in the conditions of the society of knowledge's formation. The correlation between the concepts «society of knowledge» and «postindustrial society» is considered, and the determination of value and valuable orientations, as well as the factors influencing their formation, is specified. It is shown that digitalization does not merely extend the technological infrastructure of knowledge, but acts as an independent factor of value systems' transformation, generating new axiological configurations. Special attention is paid to the commodification of knowledge, personal data and value preferences as a key mechanism of this transformation. The concepts of «digital axiology», «digital realities», «infosphere», «network society» and «surveillance capitalism» are analyzed, revealing the mechanisms of algorithmic construction of values. The axiological projection of forms of knowledge according to Max Scheler is specified with respect to digital society.
