Aportes teológicos para um novo modelo de masculinidade
Abstract
This article aims to investigate theological contributions that help critique patriarchal logic, offering an alternative model for experiencing masculinity. The methodology used is qualitative and bibliographic in nature, and the approach is hypothetical-deductive. The study will be guided by the following question: Given the current sociocultural context, what model of masculinity emerges from Christian revelation, particularly through an analysis of the life and message of Jesus of Nazareth? To answer this question, the study presents the prevailing cultural dynamics that establish both the invisibility of privilege and symbolic violence as mechanisms underpinning the structure of male domination; it outlines the foundations of dominant masculinity, highlighting the distortions that define gender relations; and, based on the Christological paradigm, it proposes an alternative model of masculinity.
