DEL DESARRAIGO AL MILAGRO: DESPLAZAMIENTO FORZADO Y ROLES DE GÉNERO EN LA HISTORIA DE ENCANTO
Abstract
This article analyzes the film Encanto as a symbolic representation of internal forced displacement in Colombia, highlighting how its narrative brings to light uprooting, trauma, and processes of emotional and community reconstruction. Through a qualitative hermeneutic methodology, the founding exodus and the figure of the “Casita” are examinedas a territory of memory, tensions, and relational fragility. The work is read through the lens of gender and social justice, showing the differentiated burdens faced by men and women in post-traumatic contexts. The collapse of the magical house, followed by its collective reconstruction, is interpreted as a metaphor for the limitations and potentialities of symbolic reparation processes in contexts of displacement. This study articulates cinema, law, and social sciences, and proposes a critical reflection on resilience and transformation from an intergenerational and community-based perspective..
