The Universal Blueprint: One Encodable Topological Metamaterial to Explain the Origin, Intelligence, and Evolution of Life

Abstract

The origination of biological complexity and intelligence presents persistent epistemological challenges when modeled exclusively inside continuous Euclidean probability spaces R^n that rely on expected-variance (H2) optimization. Continuous stochastic models remain highly effective for macroscopic ecological dynamics; at the molecular scale of prebiotic assembly, however, they leave open the need for absolute spatial bounding. In this work we introduce the Chrysene Formalism as a rigorous geometric complement. The pure-mathematical foundation is the discrete non-commutative manifold Ic constructed in the companion volumes on cohomological invariants, operator algebras, and tensorial geometry. Its physical realization is the ordered 3,6,9,12-tetrasubstituted chrysene lattice of U.S. Patent 12,195,423 and of the associated materials study, which exhibits dual-channel ballistic transport, base-four interstitial cages, and controlled phase-transformation capability. We adopt the Identification Hypothesis that a structure-preserving isomorphism maps the abstract graph of Ic onto this physical lattice, thereby transferring the Dirichlet bounds, Algebraic Excision, H-infinity minimax control, and discrete surgery machinery of the pure-mathematical theory onto a concrete metamaterial. Under this hypothesis the lattice functions as an encodable topological metamaterial. Prebiotic purification proceeds by thermodynamically driven self-separation and pi-stacking. Nucleic acids and phospholipid (or sterol/hopanoid) boundaries arise as co-projected geometric outputs of a dual-chrysene reactive volume under patented nitridation and anaerobic-oxidation conditions, natively establishing membrane-to-nucleus mechanical allostery. The same interstitial architecture operates as an abiotic loom that resolves Levinthal’s paradox by imposing L-infinity step-functions on continuous polypeptide graphs, funneling them into alpha-helices and beta-sheets via site-specific proton-coupled electron transfer. Metabolic catalytic cavities, visual chromophores, and the chlorophyll macrocycle appear as further geometric consequences of the lattice’s topological defects, optical response, and dual-volume scaffolding. The prolonged Pre-Cambrian stasis and the Cambrian topological release are modeled as successive phase transitions of the same bounded manifold—KMS equilibration followed by discrete Hamilton-Perelman surgery under rising oxidative load—while the continuous biomarker record of steranes and hopanes reflects the persistent chiral step-defect of the metamaterial throughout subsequent evolution. By the principle of mathematical parsimony, the principal architectures of biogenesis, quantum memory, and macro-evolutionary continuity are thereby obtained as the continuous topological projection of a single, highly symmetric molecular core once that core is identified with the pure-mathematical structure of Ic.
