Abstract

This study looks at how work-life balance affects workers' wellbeing and productivity, a topic that has received a lot of attention in contemporary organizational research. As workplaces evolve with increased job demands, technological integration, and changing family dynamics, maintaining a healthy balance between professional and personal responsibilities has become crucial for employee performance and overall quality of life. The research investigates how factors such as flexible work arrangements, workload management, organizational support, and boundary control influence employees’ ability to balance work and non-work domains. Drawing from existing theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence, the study explores how work life balance contributes to improved job satisfaction, reduced stress, enhanced psychological and physical well-being, and ultimately higher productivity. The analysis highlights that employees who experience a supportive work environment and adequate balance demonstrate greater engagement, motivation, and organizational commitment. Conversely, poor work–life balance is associated with burnout, absenteeism, decreased performance, and diminished well-being. By synthesizing insights from current literature, the study underscores the importance of integrating effective work–life policies and fostering a family-supportive organizational culture. The results have important implications for future study and human resource policies, as well as a greater knowledge of how work-life balance influences employee outcomes.
