TEACHER PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT DECISION SUPPORT MODEL WITH SWARA AND TOPSIS METHODS
Abstract
Teacher performance assessment is an important component of educational evaluation. This study develops a decision support model for teacher performance assessment at SMAN 12 Bandung using the Step-Wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods. SWARA was applied to determine the relative weights of nine teacher performance assessment criteria, while TOPSIS was used to calculate preference values and rank the evaluated teachers. The results showed variation in preference values among the evaluated teachers. Teacher 9 obtained the highest preference value of 0.991 and was ranked first, while Teacher 12 obtained a considerably lower preference value of 0.085. The resulting preference values provide a quantitative basis for comparing teacher performance according to the established assessment criteria. The combination of SWARA and TOPSIS therefore provides a structured decision support model for weighting assessment criteria and ranking teacher performance at SMAN 12 Bandung.
