Abstract

In this paper, we analyze signal transmission in a multiple relay system with the amplify-and-forward (AF) technique, under mixed fading conditions. The source-relay (S–R) links are disturbed by κ-μ fading, and the relay-destination (R–D) links by Rayleigh fading. We derive an expression for the outage probability (Pout) based on the signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) and present it graphically for several different parameters to check their impact to the observed performance. Furthermore, we show how the integrating Pout analysis into a Gen-AI–driven framework enables improved safety, reliability, and operational efficiency in AF relay networks operating under κ-μ and Rayleigh fading conditions.
