Abstract
Modern authentication systems use cybersecurity techniques to validate the identity of the person (or applications acting on behalf of the person) as a primary defense against unauthorized access. While initially built around single mechanisms such as usernames/passwords, physical tokens, or biometrics, current systems have evolved into multi-factor authentication (MFA) platforms that combine multiple mechanisms. Among them, several focus on strategies that prevent replay attacks (i.e. the reuse of a component that could have been potentially compromised).
Lack of effective authentication has resulted in numerous security and privacy breaches, including unauthorized access to protected information, identity theft, and fraud. One approach to mitigating such attacks is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), in which users must provide multiple pieces of information for authent...
An Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) plays a vital role in smart city ecosystems by enabling vehicles to communicate with roadside units, cloud servers, and other vehicles through the Internet. Numerous authentication protocols have been proposed to secure communications in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), and rec...
In this paper, the design of the AI-based Secure File Vault incorporating multimodal biometric identification alongside AES-256 encryption is presented. Conventional passwords and other forms of authentication suffer from vulnerabilities to phishing attacks, making it necessary for the system to use facial identificati...

Cryptography is essential for securing digital communications, yet it remains vulnerable to various malicious attacks. These attacks can be classified based on the type of cryptography they target symmetric or asymmetric. This paper presents a comprehensive classification of encryption attacks, examining the specific v...

Traditional authentication methods are no longer sufficient to address the growing threats and the demand for higher security standards. Multi-factor authentication solutions which combine many factors to increase security are becoming more and more popular and its vulnerability lies on the fact that each factor can be...
