ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEBERHASILAN SISTEM MANAJEMEN KESELAMATAN KONSTRUKSI PADA PELAKSANAAN PROYEK PEMBANGUNAN GEDUNG BTN KANTOR WILAYAH 1 BUAH BATU BANDUNG
Abstract
This abstract section consists of the research objectives, the reasons for conducting the research, the methods needed to support its effective implementation, and the efforts made in applying SMKK in projects. The methodology used involves a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire distributed to 26 respondents, most of whom were field staff and technical personnel, with significant representation from project managers. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests using Cronbach's Alpha, which confirmed the suitability of the questionnaire for measuring respondents' perceptions. The study also calculated the Relative Importance Index to determine the significance of various factors. Key findings indicate that ‘Leadership and Management Commitment’ is the most dominant factor influencing SMKK success, with the highest RII score of 3.104. This highlights the critical role of active management support and vision in shaping a safety-conscious work culture. Other significant factors include “Worker Training and Competence,” “Worker Participation,” and “Supervision and Enforcement of Rules.” Conversely, “Safety Policies and Planning” received the lowest score, indicating a gap between the availability of policies and their practical understanding or implementation. The overall implementation of the SMKK received a “satisfactory” rating with an IKR score of 79.71%, indicating effective implementation. This highlights the critical role of active management support and vision in shaping a safety-conscious work culture. The overall implementation of SMKK received a “satisfactory” rating with an IKR score of 79.71%, indicating effective implementation but still room for improvement. In conclusion, effective implementation of the SMKK heavily depends on strong leadership commitment and sustained efforts in worker training, participation, and robust oversight. Addressing the identified weaknesses in policy dissemination and worker engagement is crucial for improving overall construction safety and project efficiency.
