Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme (Family Solanaceae): An addition to the flora of Rajasthan, India

2026 · Journal on new biological reports · 0 citations

Abstract

Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme is a small-fruited tomato which is native to Mexico and the Andes mountains in South America. So far, its presence was unknown in the state of Rajasthan. During the last few years’ surveys in southern Rajasthan, this variety of tomato was noticed in the wild at many places in Udaipur and Rajsamand districts. This is a new addition to the flora of Rajasthan, hence worth placing on record.
