Abstract
This article proposes a new dynamic gain method for the fuzzy distributed optimization control of strict-feedback nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs). This method eliminates the need for the backstepping design in existing distributed optimization schemes and in the application of fuzzy logic systems, thereby avoiding the inherent iterative design and complexity explosion issues. The controller resulting from this method has a simple quasi-linear structure. Notably, the non-parametric uncertainties considered make the system under investigation more general than those in existing results, where systems’ nonlinear functions are often assumed to be known, limited to linear growth conditions, or subject to parametric uncertainties. To handle these non-parametric uncertainties, a method integrating dynamic gains with fuzzy logic systems is employed. Furthermore, a novel analytical approach based on LaSalle’s theorem is developed, which relaxes the constraints on local cost functions in the existing literature. Under the proposed control scheme, the distributed optimization consensus is achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is validated through two simulation examples.
This article focuses on the event-based adaptive distributed optimization problem of uncertain complex multiagent networks subject to unmodeled nonlinearities, uncertain disturbances, and unknown interaction direction, and a novel adaptive distributed optimization controller is constructed to ensure optimal consensus.

In multiagent systems (MASs), policy iteration (PI) and value iteration (VI) are two fundamental reinforcement learning paradigms for solving optimal cooperative control problems, exhibiting an inherent tradeoff between convergence speed and communication complexity. To clarify this tradeoff, this article reformulates...

This paper is concerned with a distributed model predictive control (DMPC) problem for multi-agent systems (MASs) with noncooperative games under undirected switching topologies. With respect to parameter uncertainties of MASs and complicated information communication between neighbors under changing topologies, a dual...

This work proposes a semidefinite programming (SDP) model that synthesizes static output control feedback for networked linear time-invariant multi-agent systems (MAS). We theoretically prove that the output feedback control of MAS can be constructed using the Nash equilibrium previously derived for state-feedback cont...

Different from traditional distributed control for multi-agent systems (MASs) composed of linear systems or nonlinear systems in canonical form, for MASs where followers have noncanonical nonlinear dynamics with implicit relative degree, there are two main challenges. Firstly, under the condition of only local interact...

This paper proposes a novel control scheme based on adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) to address the approximate optimal control problem of asymmetric full‐state and input constraints in general affine nonlinear systems. First, by introducing an asymmetric barrier penalty term into the cost function and constructing...
