Abstract

Learning evaluation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) holds a central role not only in measuring academic achievement but also in shaping students' moral and spiritual character. This study examines how PAI learning evaluation is carried out at SDN Adiarsa Barat II Karawang, with particular attention to the use of holistic assessment, digital technology, and the development of a structured religious attitude observation instrument. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using field case study as the primary strategy. Data collection involved direct classroom observation, in-depth interviews with the PAI teacher, and review of evaluation documents, which were subsequently analyzed through data reduction, display, and conclusion stages. Findings indicate that the school has moved beyond conventional testing by incorporating authentic assessment practices that address cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development simultaneously. Digital tools such as Google Form and Quizizz have been adopted to streamline assessment administration. As a response to the identified challenge of subjective affective assessment, an instrument in the form of a religious attitude observation sheet was developed to help teachers conduct more structured, objective, and consistent evaluations. Limited device availability and inconsistent internet access remain practical obstacles. Ongoing formative feedback plays a key role in guiding students toward akhlakul karimah.
