DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF LOGISTICS CHAINS OF OIL AND GAS COMPANIES IN CONDITIONS OF UNCERTAINTY
Abstract
Modern changes in the economic, geopolitical, technological, and regulatory environment necessitate a transformation of approaches to managing the supply chains of oil and gas companies. The high territorial extent of supply chain links, the capital-intensive nature of the industry, dependence on transport and energy infrastructure, as well as the growing uncertainty, increase the requirements for the adaptability and resilience of supply chain systems. The research gap lies in the lack of systematic studies on the digital transformation of supply chains in the oil and gas sector, integrating process reengineering, digital twins, uncertainty forecasting, human capital, and investment decisions. The aim of the study is to systematize scientific research in the field of digital transformation of logistics chains of oil and gas companies under conditions of uncertainty. To achieve this goal, the factors that create the need for digital transformation, as well as the tools for its implementation, have been systematized. As a result, six groups of external factors have been identified: economic, geopolitical, infrastructural, energy, regulatory, and technological. The systematization of digital tools made it possible to identify twelve functional groups, including digital integration, IoT and industrial monitoring, Big Data and analytics, artificial intelligence and forecasting, digital twins, business process reengineering, digital platforms and Control Tower, optimization tools, financial and analytical technologies, cybersecurity, human capital management, and scenario-based risk management. It has been shown that the digital transformation of logistics chains should be considered not as the implementation of individual technologies, but as a comprehensive change in processes, information support, and management decision-making mechanisms. The results obtained form the basis for further development of a methodology to assess the digital maturity and resilience of logistics chains in oil and gas companies.
