Dual-Wideband Fabry-Pérot Resonator Antenna with Independent Dual-Port Feeding
Abstract
This paper presents a dual-port independently fed dual-wideband Fabry-Perot (FP) resonant cavity antenna. The antenna consists of a single-layer partial reflective surface (PRS), dual U-shaped slot patch feeds, and an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC). The dual positive phase gradient of the PRS achieves broadband performance in both frequency bands, while the AMC unit compensates the phase in the low-frequency band to enable single-cavity dual-band operation, resulting in a compact structure with a low profile. Simulation results demonstrate that the antenna realizes impedance bandwidths of 19.93% and 17.24%, 3 dB gain bandwidths of 11.56% and 15.28%, and peak gains of 13.23 dBi and 11.27 dBi at 12.54 GHz and 17.4 GHz, respectively, with a frequency ratio of 1:1.39, making it suitable for microwave communication and other applications.
