Peningkatan Hasil Belajar IPAS Kearifan Lokal Melalui Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Media Kartu Budaya Kelas IV SDN 03 Kanigoro
Abstract
The topic of local wisdom within the surrounding community remains abstract, making it difficult for students to grasp when taught through conventional, teacher-centered instruction, resulting in low active engagement and poor learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at SDN 03 Kanigoro. Initial data showed that only 44.4% of students (12 of 27) met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 70, with a class average of 66.3. This study aimed to improve IPAS learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Culture Card media. A two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) design was employed in the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year in grade IV at SDN 03 Kanigoro, Madiun City, involving 27 students (11 male, 16 female). Data were collected through observation, interviews, and HOTS-based written tests, and analyzed by comparing class averages and completion percentages across cycles. Results showed consistent improvement: the class average rose from 66.3 (Pre-Cycle) to 70.0 (Cycle 1) and 78.1 (Cycle 2), while classical completeness increased from 44.4% to 59.3% and 88.9%, meeting the ≥75% success indicator in Cycle 2. The integration of PBL and Culture Card media effectively transformed abstract local wisdom material into a contextual, meaningful, and student-centered learning experience.
