Certification of the future: how AI and big data are changing quality control and speeding up logistics
Abstract
The article examines the transformation of certification and quality control under the influence of artificial intelligence and big data technologies. The author shows how continuous monitoring of product parameters and digital passports replace random inspections and paper-based document flow, which makes it possible to integrate certification procedures directly into the production and logistics process. Special attention is paid to the practical effects for logistics: reducing downtime, reducing excessive inspections, and shifting from reactive defect management to risk forecasting. Key barriers are also analyzed — primarily the lag of the regulatory framework behind technological capabilities. The conclusion is formulated: the future of certification is not about expedited document processing, but about a data-driven quality management system where trust is formed by a digital trail, not by paper documents.
