Abstract

The article explores the didactic potential of artificial intelligence in the context of the requirements of the New Ukrainian School and the State Standard of Primary Education. The relevance of the work is due to the rapid development of neural networks and their transition from a means of automating routine operations to the status of full-fledged intellectual and creative teacher assistants. The psychological and pedagogical features of modern junior schoolchildren who have a pronounced visual-figurative and clip thinking are highlighted, which determines the high need for creating unique, dynamic and visually rich educational content. The purpose of the work is to theoretically substantiate the capabilities of AI and develop a methodological case for integrating three educational branches around the semantic core of «word – image – action». A functional classification of AI tools has been carried out. It has been determined that in the language and literary field, neural networks automate the adaptation of texts and construct exercises; in the artistic field, they generate authentic visualization and art-therapeutic templates; in the technological – optimize the creation of technological maps, diagrams and figure scans. The practical value of the work lies in the development of a comprehensive methodological case of the project «Legends of the Native Land» for grades 3–4. It demonstrates the algorithm of interaction between a teacher and AI at three stages: text creation, visual series generation and modeling of instructions for manual labor with examples of prompts. The risks of using neural networks are highlighted: a tendency to «hallucinations», copyright issues and the threat of templateization of children’s imagination. It is substantiated that AI acts as an intellectual and creative assistant that ensures the systemic transformation of primary education.
