Abstract
The goal is to create and assess the distribution of thermal and structural stress in a brake rotor under real-time brakingconditions. A transient thermo-elastic analysis of the Rotor Disc of the Disk 17 10 Brake intends to measure theeffectiveness of a bike's disc brake rotor when subjected to intense braking scenarios, thus aiding in the design andevaluation of disc rotors. In this study, efforts have been made to identify an appropriate hybrid composite material thatweighs less than cast iron while exhibiting desirable properties such as thermal strain, yield strength, and density. The optimization process is conducted to minimize stress concentration and the rotor's weight, which helps maintain lowunsprung mass and enhances the vehicle's stability. Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with Catia v5 software, astructural model of the brake rotor has been created. Additionally, finite element analysis has been carried out usingANSYS 14.5 software. Aluminium Silicon carbide demonstrates favorable friction and wear characteristics for the Diskbrake 17 10 rotor. The transient thermo-elastic analysis of disc brakes under cyclic braking applications has beenconducted, and the findings were analyzed for comparison
Efficient thermal management and structural integrity are essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of automotive braking systems. Conventional grey cast iron brake disc rotors, while widely adopted, often suffer from limitations such as high thermal stresses, localized deformation, and insufficient heat dissip...

The performance and durability of an internal combustion engine are critically dependent on the design and the material selection of its camshaft. Traditional cast iron camshafts, while robust, are heavy and can limit engine efficiency. This study employs finite element analysis to evaluate and compare the structural p...

Introduction.
The stability of vehicle braking force measurements is investigated on a power-type test bench equipped with a horizontally rotating disk under each test wheel, which ensures a tire-to-surface contact patch shape close to real road conditions. The factors controlled in the experiment include the whe...

Abstract Protective sheet-metal components located in the engine compartment are exposed to significant temperature variations generated by the powertrain and adjacent heat sources. These thermal loads can affect stress distribution, deformation behavior, and the performance of bolted joints. This study investigates th...
