Abstract

The study entitled "Fragmented Histories: Conflicts, Memory and the Hidden Web of Events" seeks to explore the less visible and, sometimes, forgotten aspects of traditional historiography. Through a critical analysis of historical events that rarely find space in conventional narratives, the work proposes a reflection on micro-histories, focusing on the underlying conflicts that shaped society and the collective memories that are often distorted or omitted. The fragmentation of historical accounts is approached as a result of forces of power that, intentionally or not, exclude certain narratives. In this sense, the article proposes a review of these stories, suggesting that, by observing what was silenced, we can better understand the complexity of the past. The "hidden web of events" refers to the intertwining of invisible forces and subjugated characters who, despite being rarely mentioned, played fundamental roles in the construction of historical moments. Thus, the main objective is to bring these hidden stories to light, reveal suppressed conflicts and offer a new perspective on historical memory.
