Aug 2026 · TEM Journal · 0 citations

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of teaching factory (TeFa) learning in enhancing the entrepreneurial competence of Fashion Design students at SMK Negeri 3 Kendari. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation involving the vice principal for curriculum, head department, teachers, industry partners (DUDI), and grade XI students. The data were analyzed using the Likert scale with SPSS support and processed through the Sugiyono model, which includes data reduction, display, and verification, while validity was tested through technical and source triangulation. The results indicate that teaching factory learning management is generally in the good category. The planning component achieved an average score of 3.85, organizing 3.89, implementation 3.98, and evaluation 3.81. These findings suggest that effective teaching factory management covering planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation successfully bridges the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practice, thereby improving students’ entrepreneurial competence.
