Abstract
Firm value is a crucial indicator of how investors see a company's performance and prospects. Between 2022 and 2025, the firm value of businesses in the food and beverage sub-sector which is categorised as non-cyclical consumer goods varied, requiring more investigation of the contributing variables. The purpose of this study is to investigate and assess how business size, tax planning, profitability, and leverage affect firm value. Panel data with a causal-associative design were used in a quantitative manner. Out of the 103 firms in the population, a sample of 45 was chosen using purposeful sampling. After addressing outliers, the 180 observations that this technique produced were reduced to 170. Information for the years 2022–2025 was sourced from the annual and sustainability reports of companies traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Analysis of the data was done using the Random Effect Model (REM) in EViews 13. According to the results, firm size has a negative effect on company value, whereas profitability and tax planning have beneficial effects. Conversely, it was found that leverage did not affect the value of the firm. All four of these factors significantly affect a company's worth when considered together. These results suggest that the most important factors for increasing business value are the capacity to make a profit and the effective handling of tax responsibilities.
