Abstract

The background of this study is the moral crisis among students and the increasing need for character education rooted in authentic Hadith within an integrated modern educational system. This research aims to identify character values contained in the Hadiths of As-Sahihaini, analyze the Prophetic (Nabawi) educational methods, and formulate the implementation of an integrated Islamic curriculum for modern secondary education. A qualitative library research approach is used, with Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim as primary sources, along with their classical commentaries. Data were analyzed through thematic content analysis focusing on Hadiths related to ethics, manners, faith, and social relations. The findings reveal that character education in As-Sahihaini is comprehensive and multidimensional, encompassing three main dimensions: relationships with Allah, oneself, and others. The dimension of relationship with Allah includes sincerity, excellence in worship, gratitude, trust in Allah, and love for the Prophet Muhammad. Self-related character includes honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, patience, discipline, self-control, chastity, independence, contentment, and a strong work ethic. Character toward others involves empathy, social concern, ethical communication, tolerance, forgiveness, humility, and justice. The Prophetic method is integrative, employing role modeling, dialogue, advice, habituation, motivation, storytelling, corrective education, and purification of intention. The study proposes the IHSAN-Curricular Model for systematic implementation in secondary schools. The study concludes that the Hadiths of As-Sahihaini effectively build integral character relevant to modern Islamic education. The significance of this research lies in strengthening Hadith-based character education, integrating the curriculum, and developing modern Islamic learning strategies in secondary education.
