In this paper, a very compact 2 x 2 wideband beamsteering array with monocone antennas is designed and validated for NATO Band III (1350-2400 MHz) tactical communications with interference suppressing ability. The small 4 x 4 x 4 cm$^3$ size of the array enables placing it for example on vehicles with limited space. The array is manufactured and measured, and the interference suppressing capability thereof is studied with a minimum variance distortionless response beamformer and a phase-only beamformer in the presence of a single interferer. It is shown that the designed antenna array can significantly improve the signal-to-noise ratio over 10 dB for angles separated over 15$^\circ$ from the signal-of-interest, and over 20 dB for separation larger than 43$^\circ$ across the operational band.
Fixed-position antenna (FPA) arrays provide limited spatial degrees of freedom for integrated radar and jamming (IRAJ), especially in multi-target scenarios. In this letter, we study a movable-antenna (MA)-enabled multi-target IRAJ system, where the transmit waveform and antenna positions are jointly optimized for dece...

In UAV communication, the high mobility of UAVs causes frequent mainlobe switching, which may turn sidelobe interference into mainlobe interference under which conventional adaptive beamforming (ABF) suffers severe performance degradation. To address this issue, this paper investigates an interference-plus-noise covari...

This paper introduces an extremely large antenna spacing (ELAS) architecture for monostatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) sensing that enables effective near-field (NF) operation over radar-relevant ranges while reducing hardware complexity. The transmitter employs a uniform linear array (ULA) with conventional...

For the coverage of the intended region, narrow beam radiation patterns are required in wireless communication. multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and 5G solve the problem of large spectrum, coverage, capacity, and data rates required for the intended user/direction. The presented 4-input 4-output Butler matrix fed...

Realizing beam-steerable antennas to compensate for path losses at the mmWave band in a compact design is challenging. To address this, a series-fed antenna array integrated with a $4\times 4$ Butler matrix (BM) is presented. In contrast to standard planar implementations, the proposed design adopts a multilayer struct...
