Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to present the role of univerbization in forming clothing vocabulary in Russian. The author of the paper gives the characteristic of the analytical names (купальный костюм) transformed into one-word names (купальнйк). The article shows basie formal operations used for active process of structural-semantic compression.
