Definition of "Frame" in the Humanities and the Architectural and Construction Industry: Commonalities and Differences
Abstract
The concept of a frame as a way of defining the main component, the main element that creates space, organizes it using certain patterns and assumes responsibility for its organization, is important for understanding the systematicity of the person himself, his actions in creating the world around him. The orderliness of the frame provides a certain order in the organization of the structure of space and the hierarchy of the construction of the whole. The frame exists as “reference points” of the construction of the whole and the connections between them, which ensure the communicativeness and integrity of the structure. The article considers the definition of “frame” in the humanities – philosophy, political science, sociology, economics, financial affairs, law, pedagogy – and in the art, architecture and construction industries. Proposals are made for the definition of the frame in the architectural and construction industry and its further improvement in accordance with the changes in people's needs in architectural and spatial organization in the future. The purpose of the study is to determine the essence of the frame, the need for its application in the humanitarian disciplines and to clarify the directions of its further use in the architectural and construction industry and art. The wide range of application of the definition of "frame" contributes to understanding the integrity of approaches to the study of various areas of knowledge, which is of particular importance for teaching disciplines for theoretical and practical training of students.
