Abstract
The article examines the specifics of environmental management in the Russian Federation in the context of ongoing sanctions and pressure from Western countries, as well as the associated risks to economic security. In modern conditions, external constraints affect not only traditional financial and trade mechanisms, but also have an impact on environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, ecosystem sustainability and the country's climate policy. The analysis is carried out on the basis of modern research reflecting the impact of sanctions on industrial, agricultural and environmental processes, as well as on the basis of expert assessments of the adaptation of environmental management to changing conditions. The focus is on threats to economic security due to deteriorating access to technology, investment, and international cooperation on environmental issues. The article explores the relationship between sanctions policy and environmental sustainability, offering practical recommendations for strategic management of natural resources under constraints.
