Abstract

The article is devoted to improving technological solutions for the development of watered building sand deposits. The analysis of global practice in the development of sand-gravel mixture quarries confirmed the possibility of reducing the mining and haulage equipment number through full hydromechanization of mining operations. A technological scheme for developing an overwater bench using a bulldozer, which removes dry sand down the slope toward the flooded bench, has been developed. The influence of the working area length on bulldozer operating indicators during the transfer of sand into the flooded space where the dredger is located has been established. It was determined that when the length of the bulldozer working area increases by 10 times from 50 to 500 m, the output of the bulldozer decreases by 8.2 times from 80 to 9.8 m 3 per hour. The implementation of the proposed solutions reduces downtime for hydromechanical equipment from 49% to 25% by moving sand from the overwater bench into the flooded quarry space. It was determined that the transition from an excavator and a dump truck to a bulldozer during the development of the Balakliysky quarry made it possible to reduce the cost of construction sand development by 6.9 %.
