We study the future prospects for precision measurements of purely leptonic charged-current kaon and pion decays. Together with the ratio of leptonic widths $R_K^\nu=\Gamma(K\to e\nu)/\Gamma(K\to\mu\nu)$, we consider the single ratios $R_{K\pi}^{\ell=\mu,e} = \Gamma(K \to \ell\nu) / \Gamma(\pi \to \ell\nu)$, for which many experimental uncertainties cancel, as well as the double ratio $R_{K\pi}^e / R_{K\pi}^\mu$, which provides a particularly sensitive probe of new physics. This study is timely in light of two converging developments. On the experimental side, a new conceptual design for a dedicated setup based on a slow-extracted proton beam and a multi-year data-taking program, is expected to achieve a precision at the few $10^{-4}$ level. On the theory side, recent lattice-QCD calculations have reached a comparable level of accuracy. Finally, we assess the impact of these next-generation measurements on searches for physics beyond the Standard Model and show that they can provide constraints that are either competitive with or complementary to existing bounds.
The rare decays $K^+\to\pi^+\nu\bar\nu$ and $K_L\to\pi^0\nu\bar\nu$ are among the most precisely predicted flavor observables, enabling determinations of the CKM matrix and its CP-violating phase, as well as providing sensitivity to new physics at scales far beyond the reach of colliders. We propose a dedicated rare-ka...
In view of potential future improvements in the branching fractions of leptonic $\tau$ decays $\tau\to\ell\nu_\tau\bar\nu_\ell$, $\ell=e,\mu$, it is timely to derive the corresponding Standard-Model predictions beyond next-to-leading order. We provide such benchmark values for the fully inclusive decay widths, profitin...

We investigate the prospects for detecting invisible dark photons in charged kaon decays through the two-pion channel $K^+\to\pi^+\pi^0\,\gamma_D$ and the one-pion radiative decay $K^+\to\pi^+\gamma\,\gamma_D$, where $\gamma$ and $\gamma_D$ denote the ordinary photon and dark photon, respectively. The former decay was...

Much of the literature on neutrinoless double beta ($0\nu\beta\beta$) decay with light new-physics mediators focuses on invisible missing energy. We investigate the scenario in which a massive Majoron-like particle $\phi$ is produced on-shell during $0\nu\beta\beta$ decay and subsequently decays into visible final stat...

Continuum Schwinger function methods\linebreak (CSM) are used to provide estimates of pseudoscalar meson pole contributions - $\mathsf P = \pi^0$, $\eta$, $\eta^\prime$, $\eta_c$, $\eta_b$ - to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. The analysis framework is benchmarked via successful applications to an array of other mes...

We study the sensitivity of the Future Circular Collider in electron-positron mode (FCC-ee) to the axion-like particle (ALP) couplings with leptons via the process $e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow \gamma\gamma jj$ at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=91$ GeV with the integrated luminosity $\mathcal{L}=150~\text{ab}^{-1}$. We...
