Factors Influencing Perceived Benefits of AI-Assisted Healthcare Systems in Indonesia
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly become an important component in healthcare digital transformation, particularly through AI-assisted healthcare systems that support service efficiency, decision-making, and patient experience. Despite its growing implementation, the successful implementation of AI-assisted healthcare systems depends not only on technological capabilities but also on how users perceive their benefits, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study aims to examine the factors influencing the perceived benefits of AI-assisted healthcare systems in Indonesia. The proposed research model integrates technical factors (Data Quality and Data Integration) with user-related factors (Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Trust) to examine their influence on the perceived benefits of AI-assisted healthcare systems. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to Indonesian respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Based on 311 respondents, the findings indicate that data quality, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust significantly influence perceived benefits of AI-assisted healthcare systems, while data integration shows no significant effect. Data quality was identified as the most influential factor. These findings provide insights into the implementation of AI-assisted healthcare systems by identifying the technical and user-related factors that should be prioritized. The study also provides practical implications for healthcare providers, system developers, and policymakers in supporting effective AI-assisted healthcare implementation in Indonesia.
