Most of the conventional separation technologies employed for the separation of oily wastewater are expensive and have low efficiency. However, ultrafiltration effectively separates oil–water emulsions over a wide droplet size. With the objective of developing a low‐cost ultrafiltration membrane, iron oxide nanoparticles (FeNPs) were generated in situ during the graft polymerization of acrylonitrile (AN), hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), and N‐vinyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (VP) in the presence of chitosan (CS). Neem extract (

The growing frequency of oil spills and industrial oily wastewater discharge has intensified the demand for sustainable, low‐cost, fluorine‐free materials for efficient oil–water separation. This study employs a straightforward dip‐coating technique on a woven jute substrate with chitosan (CS), followed by integratio...

Traditional separation membranes suffer from inherent limitations of single functionality, severe fouling susceptibility, and incapability of simultaneous removal of dissolved organic pollutants in oily wastewater, which severely limit their advanced treatment and applications. To address the limitations of tradition...
