Abstract
2D Matlab code for modelling phase transformations in deforming clast-matrix systems, supplemented with thermodynamic data exported from PerleX (e.g., Connolly, 2005) that describes pressure-density function for quartz-coesite transformation. Designed by Benedek Koszta & Kristóf Porkoláb, 2026. The code is the reference model of the study entitled: Mechanical controls on the rate of phase transformations in deforming rocks: a numerical study applied to quartz-coesite transformation by Koszta, B., Porkoláb, K., Yamato, P., Duretz, T. submitted to Earth and Planetary Science Letters on 13.10.2026 The code may also be used to model different phase transitions, based on different thermodynamic data.
