The Effectiveness of Integrated School Management Through the Implementation of an Academic Information System (SIAKAD) at UPTD SDI Palsatu, Kupang City
Abstract
This study analyzes the effectiveness of integrated school management through the implementation of an Academic Information System (SIAKAD) at UPTD SDI Palsatu, Kupang City. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and open questionnaires involving the principal, administrative staff, teachers, and students. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of SIAKAD has improved administrative efficiency, accelerated academic reporting, enhanced data accuracy, and supported data-based decision making. Teachers and administrative staff perceived the system as beneficial in reducing manual workload and improving coordination among school stakeholders. However, several obstacles remain, including limited digital literacy, unstable internet connectivity, incomplete system integration, and insufficient technical support. The study concludes that SIAKAD contributes positively to the development of integrated school management, although system optimization, user training, and infrastructure improvement are still required to achieve sustainable digital governance in elementary schools.
