ALGORITHMIC MODEL FOR MANAGEMENT, STRATEGIC PLANNING, AND DEVELOPMENT OF MOBILE APPLICATIONS TO SUPPORT TREATMENT ADHERENCE
Abstract
For comprehensive synchronization of managerial, strategic, and technical processes, it is necessary to develop a conceptual model that allows eliminating fragmentation of processes and ensuring continuity of support for patient adherence in matters of therapy and medication supply. The aim of the work is to create an algorithmic model of management, strategic planning, and development of mobile applications (mHealth) to support treatment adherence based on the Agile approach. Materials and methods: when constructing the model, we used the methodologies of systemic and flexible (Agile) approaches, project, strategic, and innovation management, systems and software engineering, functional modeling, the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK), structured analysis and design technique (SADT). Results. The proposed model is a holistic system consisting of preparatory, main, and final blocks. The model has a certain flexibility in requirements for final products and is built on the Agile approach throughout the entire overall cycle of strategic planning and development of mHealth. It contributes to improving the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of medical and pharmaceutical care, particularly in the formation, strengthening, and enhancement of treatment adherence. The model is intended for customers and developers of mHealth; it is focused on end users (consumers of medicines) and intermediate users (medical and pharmaceutical professionals) of the applications, stakeholders, and other interested parties. Conclusion. Some elements of the model can also be used for management, strategic planning, and development of mHealth not related to adherence support, as well as applied to all other mobile applications.
