Abstract

To address critical challenges in construction project cost control, this paper develops a BIM-based dynamic cost control system that integrates five core modules to achieve dynamic visualization throughout the project lifecycle. Using a supporting facility project at an airport terminal as a case study, the results show that the cost estimation cycle is reduced from 4–7 days to within 1 day, bill-of-quantities matching accuracy exceeds 90%, change order response time and progress payment review cycle are both reduced by over 60%, and cumulative net benefit reaches 4.36 million RMB, validating the effectiveness of the proposed system.
