Intervención socioambiental en disputa. Cartografías conceptuales profesionales del antropocentrismo y la ecosofía

Abstract

This research problematizes the hypothesis that investigates a gap in the trajectory of the different forms of intervention through professional Social Work, its pedagogy and social intervention. Based on this disciplinary gap, viewed from the sociology of professions, this article examines a conceptual cartography that investigates the processes of dispute and controversy of the imaginaries of transformation that were crystallized in the last quarter of the 20th century and that have persisted until the first quarter of the 21st century. At that time, environmental debates became global, the concept of development was put into dispute and attempts were made to rethink the models of truth of official history in Latin America and the world. Using a heuristic method, bio-bibliographical scope is combined with a hermeneutic analysis of the production of professional and academic literature on Vicente de Paula Faleiros and others, pointing out the cartographic as a methodical approach. Thus, the first analysis allows interpreting a cartography and conceptual-practical map of Social Work that persists in its modern canon, anthropocentric and with few links to other planes, such as environmental intervention. The second analysis, with a look at history, philosophy and a certain critical perspective of the social sciences, assembles another analytical and interpretative drift which compares from contemporary works -such as the multi-linear philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari and its articulation with Ecosophy and its proposal of “existential cartographies” that rearticulates subjectivity, sociality, politics and environment-, a map of ruptures of meaning that nourish the intervention of social work, incorporating the environmental as a key axis of the present. The review allows us to conclude that it is necessary to discuss a redesign of the narratives of the profession and its social intervention to look for alternatives that can make us think territories and human and more-than-human maps.
