Abstract

In the context of the transition to a post-industrial economy and increasing environmental turbulence, the problem of creating conditions for the development of organizational leadership is particularly important. The purpose of this study is to systematize theoretical approaches to the phenomenon of organizational leadership, identify factors hindering leadership development in Russian companies, and substantiate a modern portfolio of competencies for effective leaders. Methods and Data. This review study is based on a theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific works by Russian and international authors. Results. A competency-based model of modern management, built on the integration of best international practices and domestic experience, is substantiated. It is demonstrated that neuroleadership is a progressive area of transformation that requires a paradigm shift in traditional management thinking. Application Area. The results can be used in developing management development programs, assessing and selecting managers, and developing corporate training systems. Promising areas for further research include identifying and testing neuroleadership tools in Russian companies and empirical verification of the presented competency-based model.
