Requisitos de informação em XML, segundo a ISO 7817, para a interoperabilidade entre BIM e simulação de ventilação natural
Abstract
The absence of standardized information requirements for BIM models makes validations arbitrary and often unable to meet the needs of natural ventilation simulations, while proposed machine‑readable requirements as a solution are themselves complex to apply. This study aims to validate interoperability of XML language, proposed by ISO/DIS 7817-3, for structuring and verifying information requirements in the context of natural ventilation. A case study approach was adopted involving a single-family residence, focusing on window components. The analysis considered validation through XML Schema Definition (XSD) and interoperability testing across four BIM modeling and verification platforms. Results demonstrated XML structure is technically valid and more comprehensive than Information Delivery Specification (IDS). As a contribution, a methodological workflow is proposed for operationalizing Level of Information Need (LOIN) in XML and highlights current lack of maturity of commercial BIM platforms in supporting this approach.
