POÉTICA DO HABITAR NA CONTEMPORANEIDADE

Abstract

This article investigated the interrelations between contemporary architecture, art and digital culture in the face of compact one-room housing. Based on the Critical Philosophy of Technology (Feenberg, 2003; 2013), the Phenomenology of the body (Merleau-Ponty, 1999) and of place (Norberg-Schulz, 2008), we articulate the architectural project and the experience of living, considering its cultural and symbolic dimension. The case study method (Yin, 2001) was used to analyse the artwork "Oneroom-Babel” (2023), which reenacts memories of former residents, categorised according to symbolic levels of the home (Pallasmaa, 2017), which imply restrictions on the experience of living according to the architectural program. Finally, tactical action (Certeau, 2008) is highlighted as a way of challenging the limits of contemporary living and promoting fundamental questions (Pallasmaa, 2017) in architecture. O artigo investigou as interrelações entre arquitetura contemporânea, arte e cultura digital a partir do fenômeno das moradias compactas de um cômodo. Com base na Filosofia Crítica da Tecnologia (Feenberg, 2003; 2013), da Fenomenologia do corpo (Merleau-Ponty, 1999) e do lugar (Norberg-Schulz, 2008), articulamos o projeto arquitetônico e a experiência do habitar, considerando sua dimensão cultural e simbólica. Toma-se o método estudo de caso (Yin, 2001) analisar a obra “Oneroom-Babel” (2023), sobre memórias de antigos moradores, categorizadas segundo níveis simbólicos do lar (Pallasmaa, 2017), que implicam em restrições da experiência do habitar conforme o programa arquitetônico. Por fim, aponta-se a ação tática (Certeau, 2008) como modo de tensionar os limites do habitar contemporâneo e de impulsionar questionamentos fundamentais (Pallasmaa, 2017) ao campo da arquitetura.
