Abstract

This research paper addresses the critical gap in the integration of project schedule planning, implementation, and execution, a recurring challenge that adversely affects project success. Despite the existence of sophisticated planning tools and methodologies, the disconnection between planning and actual execution leads to delays, cost overruns, and resource mismanagement. This study investigates the systemic causes of this integration gap, including organizational silos, communication breakdowns, and resistance to change. Utilizing a comprehensive literature review and qualitative case study analysis, the paper explores strategies and frameworks that promote seamless integration, such as digital transformation, real-time project controls, and enhanced collaboration mechanisms. The findings contribute to the theoretical understanding and practical approaches that can bridge the divide between project planning and execution, ultimately improving project delivery outcomes. This paper argues for a paradigmatic shift towards integrated project management practices, emphasizing the role of technology and organizational alignment in achieving execution excellence.
