TL;DR

In Korean patients with AAA, the INCRAFT stent-graft system demonstrated favorable mid-term outcomes, with low rates of aneurysm-related mortality, acceptable reintervention rates, and stable aneurysm sac behavior.

Abstract

BACKGROUNDS AND

Objectives

Endovascular aneurysm repair is widely used for the management of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). Although short-term outcomes are favorable, concerns persist regarding long-term durability, particularly due to higher rates of secondary reintervention. This study aimed to evaluate the mid-term clinical outcomes of the ultra-low-profile INCRAFT stent-graft system.

Methods

We analyzed 146 patients treated with the INCRAFT stent-graft system using a combined Korean multicenter prospective and single-center retrospective registry. Clinical follow-up was performed until the last clinical contact through electronic medical records, and imaging follow-up with computed tomography or ultrasonography was performed up to 3 years.

Results

During a median follow-up of 44 months, there were no cases of aneurysm-related death or aneurysm rupture. At 3-year follow-up, sac shrinkage was observed in 41.5%, whereas sac enlargement was noted in 9.6%. Endoleaks were observed in 24.5% at 3 years. Type II endoleak was the most frequent endoleak type and cause of reintervention. Reinterventions were required in 17.1% (n=25), predominantly due to endoleaks (9.6%) and limb-related complications (6.8%).

Conclusions

In Korean patients with AAA, the INCRAFT stent-graft system demonstrated favorable mid-term outcomes, with low rates of aneurysm-related mortality, acceptable reintervention rates, and stable aneurysm sac behavior.

Early and follow-up results of reinterventions for type 2 endoleak following endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm (EVAR): the multicenter REinterventions for Type 2 Endoleak (RETE) study.

BACKGROUND Type II endoleak (T2EL) is frequent after endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) and may require reintervention in selected patients. However, the optimal treatment strategy for durable resolution remains uncertain. The aim of this study is to retrospectively analyze perioperative and long-term...

Clinical Outcomes and Device-Related Complications Following Flow Diverter Stent Treatment of Unruptured Intracranial Aneurysms: A Single-Center Retrospective Study

Background/Objectives: Flow diverter stents are widely used for the treatment of complex, unruptured intracranial aneurysms. Nitinol-based devices offer improved flexibility and vessel conformability; however, real-world clinical outcome data remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and clinical outcomes...

Clinical Outcomes of the “Endovascular Aneurysm Repair-First” Protocol for Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms: A 10-Year Single-Center Retrospective Study

This single-center experience suggests favorable outcomes for adopting the “EVAR-first” policy for all rAAA patients and suggests favorable outcomes for adopting the “EVAR-first” policy for all rAAA patients.

Low-Profile Versus Standard-Profile Endograft for Thoracoabdominal and Complex Abdominal Endovascular Aortic Treatment-Multicenter Cohort Study.

OBJECTIVE The introduction of low-profile stent grafts (LPSGs) has proven to be a useful option despite initial concerns. The aim of this study was to analyze and compare the outcomes of standard-profile stent grafts (SPSGs) versus LPSG in a cohort of patients treated for thoracoabdominal (TAAA) and complex abdominal (...

Short-term outcomes of Solaris self-expanding covered stent in iliac artery occlusive disease: a single-center retrospective cohort.

In a real-world cohort with a high proportion of complex iliac lesions, the Solaris self-expanding covered stent demonstrated excellent technical success, durable short-term patency, and favorable clinical outcomes, suggesting that this device may provide a durable endovascular solution for challenging iliac anatomy wh...

Early-term and midterm outcomes of endovascular completion of high-risk subacute and early chronic residual dissection after type A repair

Objectives Late mortality, progressive aneurysmal degeneration, and major reinterventions remain frequent after repair of type A aortic dissection. This study aimed to evaluate early- and midterm outcomes of endovascular completion in patients with high-risk residual dissection treated during the subacute or early chro...
