Abstract
Intensive agriculture based on monocultures leads to ecological crises due to high resource consumption, agrochemical pollution of soil and groundwater, and negative impacts on climate change. As an alternative solution to this problem, breeding perennial wheat lines and creating sustainable agrosystems are of high importance. Studies were conducted in 2023–2025 at the Bakhmal Experimental Station on 34 perennial wheat lines and the reference variety “Bezostaya-1”. Data were analyzed using variation-statistical methods (LSD0.05, CV, %). According to the results, 7 lines (KYD-13, KYD-14, KYD-19, KYD-21, KYD-23, KYD-26, KYD-27) showed significantly higher yield compared to the control. In particular, lines KYD-23 and KYD-26 demonstrated an average yield of 18.5 c/ha, surpassing the control by 85% and maintaining stability over the years (CV = 3.61%). The selected perennial wheat lines are recommended for establishing ecologically sustainable farming in rainfed areas and for use in breeding programs.
