The sociocultural phenomenon of the music education system in Russia
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to comprehensively analyze the sociocultural phenomenon of the music education system in Russia to identify its structural components, historical patterns of development, and mechanisms of influence on the formation of national identity and the preservation of the cultural code. The study is relevant because the processes of globalization and the unification of cultural codes affect all education systems in Russia, including the music education system, which serves as a key instrument for preserving national identity. The role of music education extends far beyond the professional training of artists, fulfilling vital sociocultural functions: transmitting traditional values, shaping a harmoniously developed individual, and strengthening civil society through social integration. Studying this phenomenon as a holistic system, rather than simply a collection of educational institutions, is timely and scientifically significant. As a result, it was possible to identify serious contradictions between academic tradition and the expansion of popular culture, which threaten the preservation of the unique Russian school and thereby determines the growing need for the development of scientifically based recommendations for improving educational practices in this area.
