Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of regulatory compliance on public works procurement processes at the Decentralized Autonomous Municipal Government of Archidona, considering its importance in ensuring efficiency, transparency, and the proper use of public resources. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive, non-experimental design. An institutional database from 2021 was used, which was refined using inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in a total of 24 valid processes for analysis. The results show a higher concentration of completed processes; however, other types of processes are also present, with less than half of them being completed. This reflects deficiencies in planning, document preparation, and the application of internal controls. The study concludes that regulatory compliance directly impacts the efficiency and transparency of procurement processes, making it necessary to strengthen internal control mechanisms, standardize procedures, and train staff to improve institutional management.
