IoT-Enabled Smart Remote for Intelligent Air Conditioner with Adaptive Energy Management
Abstract
With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, smart home automation and energy saving systems have become increasingly popular. Air conditioners are widely used for maintaining comfortable indoor environments, the uses of Air conditioner are highly and rapidly increasing this leads to high power. This paper presents the design and implementation of a Smart AC Remote System using IoT that allows users to control their air conditioner remotely using a smartphone or web interface and practically set up a rapid cooling and maintain the optimum temperature to save the energy bill. The proposed system uses a microcontroller with Wi-Fi capability and an infrared (IR) transmitter to replicate the signals of a conventional AC remote. The system connects to a cloud platform, enabling users to send commands such as power ON/OFF, temperature adjustment, and ECO mode selection through the internet. The proposed solution provides convenience, energy efficiency, and improved user experience in smart home environments.
