Abstract

The article examines the transformation of Ukraine’s international activities under wartime conditions and the prospects for their development in the post-war period. It is substantiated that the pre-war model of international activity was characterized by the gradual integration of Ukraine into the European economic space, the development of foreign trade relations, and the attraction of international capital; however, it remained insufficiently focused on technological modernization and the creation of high added value. It is established that the full-scale war significantly changed the priorities of Ukraine’s international engagement, highlighting diplomatic mobilization, international security, financial, and humanitarian support. The necessity of transitioning in the post-war period from a predominantly reactive model of international activity focused on attracting emergency assistance to a proactive model of international partnership is substantiated. It is proposed to consider international activity as a comprehensive system encompassing political and diplomatic, European integration, economic, financial, security, investment, humanitarian, scientific and technological, and cultural dimensions. The strategic importance of European integration as a factor of institutional modernization and Ukraine’s closer integration into the European political and economic space is identified. The potential of international partnership in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction is analyzed, particularly through the combination of international assistance, joint financing, private investment, and integration into international production chains. Prospective areas for attracting international capital, diversifying exports, developing defense-industrial and scientific-technological cooperation, and restoring human capital and infrastructure are identified. The expediency of applying ESG approaches to recovery financing as a tool for enhancing project transparency and investment attractiveness is substantiated. The transformation of the main areas of Ukraine’s international activity during the pre-war, wartime, and post-war periods is systematized. It is demonstrated that the strategic orientation of Ukraine’s post-war international activity should involve a transition from a model of receiving international assistance to a model of active economic, political, technological, and security partnership.
