Abstract

Automated precision machining plays a pivotal role in enhancing the production efficiency and structural consistency of thin-walled tubular components by minimizing human-induced operational variances. This paper presents a continuous, multi-station automated control system designed for combustible fire control tubes using a Siemens S7-200 SMART PLC as the core controller. The system achieves sequence and interlocking logic control across four sequential workstations: automated loading, multi-angle indexing punching, internal polishing, and automated unloading. Explosion-proof photoelectric sensors, magnetic switches, and localized safety constraints are integrated to satisfy the critical explosion-protection mandates required for hazardous combustible dust environments. A closed-loop multi-axis servo drive mechanism is configured to achieve 36 ° structural indexing rotation with a precision boundary of ± 0.1 ° . Experimental debugging and field commissioning demonstrate that the total cycle time per component is limited to 14.5 s with a linear positioning deviation within ± 0.1mm. The system achieves complete human-machine isolation and satisfies the structural criteria for highly reliable, batch-oriented industrial manufacturing in specialized environments.
