Abstract
This study investigates the dietary habits of high school students, aiming to document their attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors regarding healthy eating and obesity prevention. The research was based on a combination of literature review and analysis of primary quantitative data, collected through an anonymous electronic questionnaire (Google Forms) from a sample of 120 general high school students. The results indicate that, despite theoretical knowledge of the principles of healthy eating, adolescents often choose foods based on taste, convenience, and cost, following dietary patterns that do not align with these principles. The study emphasizes the importance of the school environment in shaping adolescents’ dietary habits, as well as the need for targeted nutritional education interventions. Finally, the study highlights its limitations, such as the small sample size and the exclusive use of descriptive statistics, underscoring the necessity for future research with larger samples and more complex methodological approaches.
