TL;DR

The in vivo and in vitro effects in vivo and in vitro of AM-EVLPs in protecting against podocyte injury using a modified rat model with diabetic kidney disease and a high-glucose(HG)-induced podocyte model showed that the ameliorative effect of H-AM-EVLPs was superior to that of TFA.

Portulaca oleracea L.-Derived extracellular vesicles alleviate renal lipotoxicity in diabetic kidney disease by regulating the NLRP3 pathway.

PO-EVs disrupt the metabolism-inflammation vicious cycle by inhibiting NLRP3 and upregulating PGC-1α, thereby mitigating renal lipotoxicity and delaying DKD progression, providing a basis for DKD therapy.

Selaginella doederleinii–derived extracellular vesicle-like particles induce ferroptosis via the xCT/GPX4 axis and are associated with metabolic and gut microbiota alterations in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent and lethal malignancies worldwide, and the limited efficacy and adverse effects of current therapeutic strategies highlight the urgent need for safer and more effective anticancer approaches. Selaginella doederleinii, a traditional medicinal herb widely used i...

Modified Hu-lu-ba-wan and its active component trigonelline ameliorate diabetic renal tubular injury via enhancing PACS2-regulated mitochondria-endoplasmic reticulum contacts and mitophagy.

BACKGROUND Mitochondrial dysfunction and impaired mitophagy in proximal tubule epithelial cells are central to the pathogenesis of Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD). The mechanisms of Modified Hu-lu-ba-wan (MHLBW), a clinically validated herbal formula for DKD patients, remain to be explored. PURPOSE This study aimed to...

Ziyuglycoside I Attenuates Deinagkistrodon acutus Venom-Induced Injury in Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells by Modulating PAR1-NLRP3-IL-1β Signaling.

INTRODUCTION Sanguisorba officinalis L. (Di Yu) has traditionally been used for snakebite treatment. Ziyuglycoside I, a major bioactive constituent of Di Yu, exhibits anti-inflammatory activity, but its role in snake venom-associated renal injury remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate its potential protective...

Anti-inflammatory Activities of Extracellular Vesicles-Derived from Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) Plasma.

It is suggested that plasma-derived EVs from rainbow trout have potential to regulate inflammatory and antioxidant responses and may serve as anti-inflammatory agent to mitigate cellular damage associated with inflammatory conditions.

Silencing of RAB3A Reshapes the Extracellular Vesicle ncRNA Landscape in Diabetic Podocytes and Uncovers miR-126-3p as a Candidate Mediator of Podocyte Injury

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a major cause of chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal failure, involving progressive damage to renal cells, including podocytes. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have emerged as important mediators of intercellular communication in the kidney by transporting bioactive molecules such as no...
