From the Political Economy of Corruption to Political Opportunity Analysis: Corruption, Capture, and the Democratic Project Defended
Abstract
In an effort to diminish the pervasive nature of corruption and to lower its prevalence, South Africa has instituted a range of anti-corruptioninitiatives, strategies, and legislative frameworks within the nation. All these measures and frameworks exhibit a thorough and systematicapproach. While it is essential to engage in a thorough examination of these measures and juxtapose various viewpoints regarding theefficacy of anti-corruption initiatives in South Africa, it remains unfeasible to encapsulate the multitude of opinions, perspectives, andarguments within a single study (Vyas-Doorgapersad 2024, 459) .
